The Barracks
The Barracks' cornerstone was laid July, 4, 1851. The building was burned by Federal troops in 1864, but was reconstructed in the late 1860’s. The Jackson Arch, the guns, and statue reflect the veneration of Stonewall Jackson's accomplishments in battle. The finely detailed print was reproduced from an original pencil drawing. A brief history of the building is included on each print’s certificate of authenticity.
