Campus Prints of Randolph-Macon College – Ashland, Virginia
This structure was built on property belonging to R-MC as a memorial to the Reverend James A. Duncan, during the period of 1879-1882. Duncan was President of the college from 1869-1877. The architect was William West, a native of Richmond, Virginia. The two and a half storied building was raised in a “four course” American Bond. The style is Gothic Revival. The OLD CHAPEL is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places.
