Campus Prints of JMU, James Madison University – Harrisonburg, Virginia
In 1930, under the leadership of school President, Dr. Julius Burruss, construction was begun and the cornerstone laid for the building designated to be the administration building. It was named after President Woodrow Wilson. This structure, when dedicated on May 15, 1931, marked the completion of the original plans for the Quadrangle. Wilson Hall sits at the center of the original campus which at one time was known as the State Teachers College, and has come to symbolize what is now James Madison University, which today boasts a coeducational enrollment of over 11,000 students.
